TRUSTEE ACT 1925—REGULATION

(Relating to GIO Building Society Limited)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, on the recommendation of the Attorney General, and in pursuance of the Trustee Act 1925, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Trustee Regulation 1988 is amended by inserting in clause 4A in alphabetical order of building societies the words “GIO Building Society Limited”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

Under section 14A (1) of the Trustee Act 1925. trustees can invest in any of the securities authorised by that Act. Section 14A (2) (p) provides that these authorised securities can include certain investments (e.g. deposits or loans) with prescribed building societies.

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe GIO Building Society Limited as a
prescribed building society for the purposes of section 14A (2) (p) of the Trustee Act
