An Act to Amend "The Trust Accounts Acts, 1923 to 1952," in certain particulars. [A ssented to 25 th M arch , 1959.] E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, B by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— Short title. 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as The Trust Accounts Acts Amendment Act of 1959.” Principal (2.) f“ The Trust Accounts Acts, 1923 to 1952,” are Act. in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. * 13 G. 6 No. 26 and amending Acts, f 14 G. 5 No. 4 and amending Acts.
TRUSTEES AND EXECUTORS. 775 1959. Trust Accounts Acts Amendment Act. (3.) The Principal Act and this Act may be Collective collectively cited as The Trust Accounts Acts, 1923 totlto‘ 1959.” 2. The Principal Act is amended by inserting after New s. 2 a section two thereof the following section :— inserted. “ [2 a .] (1.) A person who ceases to be qualified or Continuance entitled to practise or carry on business as, or who persons'as becomes disqualified from practising or carrying on or trustees, disentitled to practise or carry on business as a barrister, solicitor, legal practitioner, conveyancer, public accountant, auctioneer, commission agent or farm produce agent shall nevertheless continue to be a trustee under and within the meaning of this Act in respect of all moneys and other property, real or personal, movable or immovable, received by him in trust as a barrister, solicitor, legal practitioner, conveyancer, public accountant, auctioneer, commission agent or, as the case may be, farm produce agent before he ceased to be so qualified or entitled, or became so disqualified or disentitled. (2.) The regulations under this Act in force at the date of the enactment of this section which are prescribed to be limited in their application to trustees who are solicitors, legal practitioners, conveyancers or public accountants shall apply to every such trustee whilst he continues pursuant to this section to be a trustee under and within the meaning of this Act after he has ceased to be qualified or entitled to practise or carry on business, or he has become disqualified from practising or carrying on or disentitled to practise or carry on business as a solicitor, legal practitioner, conveyancer or, as the case may be, public accountant. (3.) This section applies as well to persons who ceased to be qualified or entitled, or who became disqualified or disentitled as hereinbefore specified in this section before the date of the enactment of this section as to persons so ceasing or becoming on or after that date.”
