AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Trespass on Commonwealth Lands

Ordinance 1932-1939.*

BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1939, as follows:—

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Trespass erashorttitie

Commonwealth Lands Ordinance 1940. and citBtlon-

(2.) The Trespass on Commonwealth Lands Ordinance 1932-

1939 is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Trespass on Commonwealth Lands Ordinance 1932-1940.

omitting from the definition of "City Area" the figures " 1924- "CityArca"• 2. Section three of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Definition of

1929 " and inserting in their stead the figures " 1936-1938 ".

omitting from paragraph (6) of sub-section (2.) the words " or £,d9monwe°m' 3 . Section four of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Trespass on

plantation in the City Area " and inserting in their stead the words

", plantation or afforestation area ".

4. Section seven of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Damaging

(a) is in the City Area; and

(b) belongs to, or i s" ,

and inserting in their stead the words ", plantation or afforestation

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

5. Section eight of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Persons
