1Name

This is the Treasury Laws Amendment (2016 Measures No. 2) Regulation 2016.

2Commencement

1. (1)

   Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

   the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993.

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Community development program

Retirement Savings Accounts Regulations 1997

   Subregulation 4.01(2) (paragraph (e) of the definition of Commonwealth income support payment)

Repeal the paragraph.

Insert:

The amendment of these Regulations made by item 1 of Schedule 1 to the Treasury Laws Amendment (2016 Measures No. 2) Regulation 2016 does not apply in relation to a payment of salary or wages made before the commencement of that Schedule under the employment scheme of the Commonwealth that was known as the Community Development Employment Projects Scheme.

The amendments of these Regulations made by items 3 and 4 of Schedule 1 to the Treasury Laws Amendment (2016 Measures No. 2) Regulation 2016 do not apply in relation to a payment of salary or wages made before the commencement of that Schedule under the employment scheme of the Commonwealth that was known as the Community Development Employment Program.
