South, Dulacca West, and Dulacca Holdings to the Great Dividing Range, by that range easterly and north-eastf'rly to the eastern watershed 'Of the Dawson Hiver, by that watershed northerly to a point east from the north-east corner of Rannes Holding, by a line west to that corner, by the boundaries of Rannes Holding west, north, and again west to the western watershed of the Dee River, by that watershed and the western watershed of Gogango Creek northerly to the junction of that creek with the Fitzroy River; thence by a line nurth-west to the Coast Range, by that range northerly to a point near Mount Roundhill thirty miles in a direct line from the sea-coast; thence by a line parallel to the sea-coast and at a distance of thirty miles therefrom to the 138 dt'grees meridian of east longitude, being the west boundary of the State; and thence by that boundary to the sea-coast, and by the sea-coast to the point of commence- ment. 'rRBASUBY [ ASSENTED 1'0 . 26TH DECEM"BER , 19 . 02 ] 18 B 9 I 3 LLS TO Ac 18 rs 95 W HEREAS by an Act passed in the fifty-sixth year A~ ~: ~ . of the reign of Her late Majesty Queen Victoria Preamble. numbered thirty.six and intituled "The Treasury Bills .Act of 1893"* authority was given to the Governor in Council to raise by the issue of Treasury Bills a sum of money not exceeding one million pounds for the purpose of securing the retirement of notes issued from time to time under the authority of "The Treasury Notes. Act of. 1893" :t And whereas Treasury Bills to the said amount of one million pounds were issued for such p~ rpose accordingly, * 66 Vie. No.. 36, supra, page 4855. t 56 Vic. LOA~S. Treasury Bills Acts 1893 to 1895 Amendment Act. 2 Enw. VII. No. 20~ and pursuant to the said Act were made payable on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three: And whereas by "The Treasury Bills Aot of 1893 Amendment Aot of 1895"* authority was given to t~ e Governor in Council to raise hy the issue of Treasury Bills a further sum not exceeding five hundred thousand pounds for the purpose aforesaid: And whereas Treasurv Bills to the amount of two 'hundred and fifty thousa~ d pounds were issued for such purpose accordingly, and pursuant to the said last- mentioned Act were made payable on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three: And whereas none of the said Treasury Bills so issued as aforesaid have been sold or otherwise disposed of, but have been deposited for safe keeping and still remain at the Treasury, at Brisbane, pursuant to the provisions of section seven of " The Treasury Bills Aot of 1893":t And whereas it is expedient that the said 'rreasury Bills so issued and deposited as aforesaid should on the said first day of July, one thousand nine .hundred and three, be cancelled and that new Treasury Bills should be issued in substitution therefor for the purpose of securing,. during a further period ending not later than the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, the· retirement of the said notes, and that the balance of the Treasury Bills authorised to be issued for the same purpose to an amount not exceeding two hundred and fifty thousand pounds under " The Treasu,ry Bills Act or 1893 Amendment Act of 1895"* should have a like currency, and that the Governor in Council should be empowered to raise a further sum or sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of five hundred thousand pounds by the issue of Treasury Bills of like currency for the same purpose: Be it therefore enacted by the King's- Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :- Short title and ooofD A s c tr t u . ction ail a 1 m . eTndhims eAnct t osfha " ll T b h e e re T ad rea a s n u d ry co B ns il t l r s ue A d c w ts i , th 18 an 93 d a to s 1895," and may be cited together with those Acts as " The T1"easury Bills Acts, 1893 to 1902," or separately as " The Treasu,ry Bills Acts 1893 to 1895 Amendment Act of 1902.'" - -- - --~~~--~.~~-~- - - - - ~ - - - '" 59 Vie. LOANS. 8351 1902.. 1'reasur!l Bills Acts . l~ 93 to 1895 Amendment Act. 2. On the first day of July, one thousand nine Cancellation hundred and three, the Treasury Bills to the amount of one ~ J~: ~ d: nt million two hundred and fifty thousand pounds issued under date. the authority of" The TreasuruBills Acts, 1893 to 1895,"* shall be discharged by the issue in substitution therefor of other Treasury Bills to the same amount, and thereupon such first-mentioned Treasury Bills shall be cancelled, and . shall, together with all checks, coupons, indents, and counterfoils belonging to them, behurned or otherwise destroyed in the presence of the Auditor-Genera] and the Under Secretary of the Treasury, who shall certify the fact of such .destruction to the Treasurer. The Treasury Bills issued under this section shall be deemed to have been issued under the authority of " The Treasury Bills Acts, 1893 to 1890,"* and, save as by this Act is otherwise .provided, all the provisions of those Acts shall be applicable to the said Treasury Bills : Provided that the said Treasury Bills shall be made payable on such day or days not later than the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as the Governor in Council may appoint. ' 3 . Notwithstanding the provisions of "The Treasury Extended B.iUb Ac~ of 1893 Amendment A?t of 1895,"t any Treasury ;~: ~;ill8 BIlls WhICh may hereafter be Issued to an amount not to be issued exceeding the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand W~ ~ .No.33. pounds under the authority of that Act shall be made payable on such day or days notlater than the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as the Governor in Council may appoint. 4. In addition to the sum of one million five hundred Treasbur.rBil~ thousand-pounds authorised to be raised by "Thefu:Y£5~:'=. Treasury Bills Acts, 18H3 to 1895,"* the Governor in Council may raise by the issue' of Treasury Bills any further sum or sums of money not exceeding in the whole the sum of five hundred thousand pounds, for the purposes and subjectto the provisions contained in " The Treasury Bills Act of 1893 " : t Provided that notwithstanding the provisions of the said Act the said Treasury Bills shall be made payable on such day or days not later than the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, as the Governor irl Oouncil may appoint. • 66 Vic:llfo. 36, supra, page 4855; and 59iVic.
