AN ACT to apply out of the Public Account the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty-four Pounds for the purpose of temporary advances to be made by the Colonial Treasurer.

MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,—

E, Your Majesty's Most Dutiful and Loyal Subjects, the Preamble.

Members of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia,

in Parliament assembled, towards making good the Supply which

we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in this Session of

Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sum hereinafter mentioned ; and do, therefore, most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted: And be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

as an advance to the Colonial Treasurer, the Sum of One Hundred Lion of £150,254.

1. There shall and may be issued out of the Public Account, Issue and applie.

and Fifty 'Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty-four Pounds for the purpose of making temporary advances as set forth in the Schedule ; and the Colonial Treasurer is hereby authorised and empowered to make such temporary advances accordingly.

2. The said sum shall be available to satisfy the warrants

under the hand of the Governor, issued for such purpose; and all such expenditure shall be recouped by charging the specific ap- propriations of Parliament applicable thereto, or by the recovery thereof from the Governments or persons on whose account the advances may have been made.
