1—Short title
These regulations may be cited as the Travel Agents Variation Regulations 2004.
2—Commencement
These regulations will come into operation on 1 July 2004.
3—Variation provisions
In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

Schedule 1—delete the Schedule and substitute:

Application fee for licence (section 8(1)(b) of the Act)

Licence fee—payable before the granting of a licence under Part 2 Division 1 of the Act—
(a) in the case of a natural person
$285
(a) in the case of a body corporate

If the period between the grant of the licence and the next date for payment of a fee under section 12 of the Act is less than or more than 12 months, a pro rata adjustment is to be made to the amount of the additional fee by applying the proportion that the length of that period bears to 12 months.

Annual fee (section 12(2)(a) of the Act):
(a) in the case of a natural person

(a) in the case of a body corporate

plus for each office from which the licensee carries on business up to a maximum of 10 offices
