Travel Agents Further Amendment

(Fees) Regulation 2005

under the

Travel Agents Act 1986

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Travel Agents Act 1986.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to vary application fees for the restoration of licences payable vary restoration application fees for authorities, licences or certificates issued under Acts administered by the Minister for Fair Trading. The overall purpose of these Regulations is to promote consistency in the method used to calculate these fees. In line with this overall purpose, the amendments in this Regulation ensure that:
under the Travel Agents Act 1986.

(a)	the processing component of the restoration application fee is double the processing component of the annual fee (except where the applicant is designated as an ordinary partner in the application), and
(b)	the restoration application fee is higher than the annual fee but lower than the application fee for a new licence.

This Regulation is made under the Travel Agents Act 1986, including sections 8, 15, 17 and 57 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Travel Agents Further Amendment (Fees)
Regulation 2005.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 16 January 2006.

3 Amendment of Travel Agents Regulation 2001

The Travel Agents Regulation 2001 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
