Travel Agents Amendment

(Qualifications) Regulation 2009

Travel Agents Act 1986

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Travel Agents Act 1986.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Travel Agents Regulation 2006 to prescribe the new national standard training Unit of Competency SITTTSL013A (Construct normal international airfares) as an alternate qualification for a person in charge of the day-to-day conduct of a business of a travel agent that involves the sale of tickets, or the arrangement of rights of passage, for international travel or international travel and accommodation.

This Regulation is made under the Travel Agents Act 1986, including sections 36 and 57 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Travel Agents Amendment (Qualifications)
Regulation 2009.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Travel Agents Regulation 2006

Clause 12 Qualifications of person in charge of business

Insert “or SITTTSL013A” after “Unit of Competency THTSOP20A” in clause 12 (a).
