STATUTORY RULES.
REGULATIONS UNDER THE TRANSPORT WORKERS ACT 1928–1929.*

THE DEPUTY OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the

Amendments of the Transport Workers (Seamen) Regulations.
(
a )by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), before the word “Parts”, the words “Subject to this regulation,”; and(
b ) by inserting after sub-regulation (1.) the following sub-regulation:—“(1a.) Part IIa of these Regulations shall not apply in relation to the engagement or employment of any seaman for service on any sailing ship.”.
2. Regulation 14l of the Transport Workers (Seamen)
Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (
“(
c ) was engaged in Australia as a member of the crew of that vessel;“(
ca ) was a member of that crew immediately prior to the change of articles or laying up;”.
