Transport Superannuation (Amendment)

Regulations 1996

The Governor in Council, after consideration of a report from
the Victorian Superannuation Board, makes the following
Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make amendments to the Principal Regulations to—

(a) alter the definition of "Board";

(b)	update the superannuation schemes that are prescribed superannuation schemes; and
(c)	amend the section numbers of the Transport Superannuation Act 1988 that refer to the prescribed rate of interest.

2. Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 52 of the Transport Superannuation Act 1988.

3. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations the 1Transport as the Principal Regulations.

4. Amendment of regulation 4

In regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations, in sub-regulation (1), for the definition of 'Board', substitute—

'"Board" means the Victorian Superannuation

Board established under section 5 of the
Public Sector Superannuation

(Administration) Act 1993;'.

5. Amendment of regulation 6

(1) In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations,

sub-regulation (a), after "established" insert "and

maintained".

(2) In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations,

sub-regulation (a), omit "(a)".

(3) In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations,

sub-regulation (b) is revoked.

(4) In regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations,

sub-regulation (c) is revoked.

6. Amendment of regulation 8

In regulation 8 of the Principle Regulations, in sub-regulation (1), for "sections 30(3) and" substitute "section".
