Transport Regulations Amendment (Identity Matching Services) Regulations 2023

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

Part 1Preliminary1.Citation

These regulations are the Transport Regulations Amendment (Identity Matching Services) Regulations 2023.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

  • (a)

    Part 1 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

  • (b)

    the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

2—Road Traffic (Administration) Regulations 2014 amended3.Regulations amended

This Part amends the Road Traffic (Administration) Regulations 2014.

4.Regulation 8A amended

In regulation 8A(2)(b) delete “Department of Home Affairs of the Commonwealth,” and insert:

Attorney‑General’s Department of the Commonwealth,

This Part amends the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Regulations 2014.

6.Regulation 53D amended

In regulation 53D:

  • (a)

    in paragraph (a) delete “Department of Home Affairs of the Commonwealth; and” and insert:

     

Attorney‑General’s Department of the Commonwealth; and

 
  • (b)

    in paragraph (b) delete “Department of Home Affairs of the Commonwealth nominated by the Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs of the Commonwealth” and insert:

     

Attorney‑General’s Department of the Commonwealth nominated by the Secretary of the Attorney‑General’s Department of the Commonwealth

 
4—Western Australian Photo Card Regulations 2014 amended7.Regulations amended

This Part amends the Western Australian Photo Card Regulations 2014.

8.Regulation 10A amended

In regulation 10A(2)(b) delete “Department of Home Affairs of the Commonwealth,” and insert:

Attorney‑General’s Department of the Commonwealth,
