1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Vehicle Registration) (Special Interest Vehicles) Amendment Regulation 2018.

2   Regulation amended

This regulation amends the Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2010.

3   Amendment of s 102 (Chief executive may require exchange of number plates)

(1)Section 102(2), after ‘the number plate’—

5   Amendment of s 120 (Fees)

(1A)However, the registration fee payable for a category 1 vehicle that is a special interest vehicle and a motorbike, for a 1 year registration term starting on or after 1 July 2018, is $34.20.

6   Amendment of s 128 (Requirement to remove unlawful registration item)

(d)the registration item is a number plate required to be returned to the chief executive under section 102(4).

Note—

Section 102(5) provides for what the chief executive must do if a number plate is delivered to an authorised officer under paragraph (d).

7   Amendment of sch 8 (Dictionary)
