s1 2 s3 Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Road No. 267, 2007 Rules) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2007 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Road Use Management—Road Rules) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2007 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Transport Operations (Road UseManagement—Road Rules) Regulation 1999. 3 Amendment of s 300 (Use of hand-held mobile phones) (1) Section 300, heading, ‘hand-held’— omit. (2) Section 300(1), ‘hand-held mobile phone’— omit, insert— ‘mobile phone that the driver is holding in his or her hand’. (3) Section 300(2)— insert— use , in relation to a mobile phone, includes any of the following— (a) holding the phone to, or near, the ear, whether or not engaged in a phone call; (b) writing, sending or reading a text message on the phone; (c) turning the phone on or off; (d) operating any other function of the phone.’.
