Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Transitional Regulation 2016

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Transitional Regulation 2016.

2   Commencement

This regulation commences on 1 September 2016.

3   Declaration that regulation is a transitional regulation

This regulation is a transitional regulation.

Note—

Under section 256(5) of the Act, this regulation expires 1 year after the commencement of that section.

4   Particular ships are other Queensland regulated ships

(1)This section applies to a ship that—

(a)is a commercial ship or fishing ship for the purposes of the Act as in force before the commencement; and

(b)is not—

(i)a domestic commercial vessel; or

(ii)an other Queensland regulated ship under section 10A(b) of the Act.

(2)From the commencement, the ship is taken to be an other Queensland regulated ship under the Act.
