s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 5) No. 224, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 5) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the course over the waters of the Brisbane River enclosed by Somerset Dam shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ prepared by the department on 16 August 1996 and held at its Brisbane office. 1 “event” means the Queensland Ski Racing Association Water Ski Race to be conducted by the Queensland Ski Racing Association ACN 009 809 625 on 25 August 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, includes a genuine competitor, marshal, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
