s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 4) No. 223, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 4) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the course over the waters of the Brisbane River from upstream of the William Jolly Bridge to the Toowong Reach shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ prepared by the department on 16 August 1996 and held at its Brisbane office. 1 “event” means the 1996 Brisbane Boat Show Launch to be conducted by the Boating Industry Association of Queensland Limited ACN 009 930 741 on 29 August 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, includes a genuine competitor, marshal, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
