s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 3) No. 206, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 3) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the course over the waters of the parts of the Brisbane and Southport pilotage areas shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ held by the department at its Brisbane office. 1 “event” means any of the following events to be conducted by the Australian Formula One Powerboat Grand Prix Pty Ltd ACN 072 875 408 over the course on 16 to 18 August— (a) the Formula One Powerboat Grand Prix; (b) the Formula Two Powerboat Grand Prix; (c) the Power Duck Grand Prix. “participant” , for an event, includes a genuine competitor, marshal, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in or for an event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. ˙ Expiry 4.
