s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 29) No. 358, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 29) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the course over the waters of Trinity Inlet from the Marlin Jetty to Fitzroy Island shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ and designated ‘project 1.3.8–2–15’ prepared by the department and held at its Cairns office. 1 “event” means the Iron Man Event to be conducted by the Queensland Ski Racing Association, ACN 009809625, on 21 December 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, includes a genuine competitor, marshall, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
