s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 28) No. 357, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 28) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the area over the waters of the Somerset Dam shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ and designated ‘project 1.3.8–2–13’ prepared by the department and held at its Brisbane office. 1 “event” means the Lane Race Competitions to be conducted by the Queensland Lane Racing Association Incorporated, on 15 December 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, means a genuine competitor, marshall, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
