s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 19) No. 328, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 19) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the course over the waters of Hinchinbrook Channel from Lucinda to Scraggy Point shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ and designated ‘project 1.3.8–2–24’ prepared by the department and held at its Townsville office. 1 “event” means the ski races to be conducted by the Hinchinbrook Water Ski Club Inc on 17 November 1996 and 15 December 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, includes a genuine competitor, marshall, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
