s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption (No. 12) No. 314, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Exemption Regulation (No. 12) 1996 . ˙ Definitions 2. In this regulation— “course” means the area of the waters of Kinchant Dam shown in red on the course map. “course map” means the map marked ‘Schedule A’ prepared by the department in October 1996 and held at its Mackay office. 1 “event” means the Drags and Lane Racing and Boat Drivers’ Obstacle Course events to be conducted by the Lake Elphinstone Ski Club Inc on 9 and 10 November 1996 over the course. “participant” in the event, includes a genuine competitor, marshall, safety official or other person involved in conducting the event. ˙ Exemption 3. A participant operating a ship in, or in connection with, the event is exempted from the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation1995 , sections 95(2) and 99. 2 ˙ Expiry 4.
