s1 2 s4 Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Amendment (No. 6) No. 351, 1998 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 1998 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation 1995 . ˙ Amendment of s 152 (Conditions for exemption from pilotage) 3. Section 152(2)— omit, insert — ‘ (2) However, the chief executive may grant an exemption to a person for a ship under subsection (1) only if the ship is— (a) an Australian registered ship, other than a tank ship; or (b) an Australian registered tank ship under 200 m; or (c) a foreign registered ship— (i) under 100 m; and (ii) operating in a pilotage area stated in schedule 6A.’. ˙ Insertion of new sch 6A 4. After schedule 6— insert — ‘ SCHEDULE 6A ‘ PILOTAGE AREAS FOR LIMITED EXEMPTION Karumba pilotage area’. section 152(2)(c)(ii)
