Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2008 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2008 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Regulation 2004. 3 Amendment of s 22 (Fire appliances—fishing ships to comply with USL code with changes) Section 22(2)(a), ‘AS’— omit, insert — ‘AS/NZS’. 4 Amendment of s 43 (Declaration of alterations or replacements that may affect marine safety—Act, s 4, definition building ) (1) Section 43, heading, ‘s 4’— omit, insert— ‘ schedule ’. (2) Section 43(1), ‘section 4’— omit, insert— ‘the schedule’. (3) Section 43(2)(c), examples— omit, insert— ‘ Examples — • an alteration in position or amount of permanent ballast • an alteration to scuppers and freeing ports impairing drainage • an alteration to, or replacement of, a part of a ship (including machinery), that, because of its weight or location, alters the stability of the ship’.
