This regulation may be cited as the Transport Operations (Marine Safety) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1997 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the TransportOperations(MarineSafety)Regulation 1995 . ˙ Insertion of new s 148A 3. In part 7, division 1— insert— ˙ ‘ Closed pilotage areas—Act, s 71(b) ‘ 148A.(1) This section applies to the area of the Townsville pilotage area that is bounded by an imaginary line— • starting at beacon P16 (QR) at latitude 19° 14.66' south and longitude 146° 50.06' east • then to the yellow buoy (Fl.Y) at approximately latitude 19° 14.40' south and longitude 146° 50.28' east • then to the yellow buoy (Fl.Y) at approximately latitude 19° 14.65' south and longitude 146° 50.38' east • then to the yellow buoy (Fl.Y) at approximately latitude 19° 14.86' south and longitude 146° 50.38' east • then to a point on the eastern breakwater at latitude 19° 14.94' south and longitude 146° 50.38' east • then along the eastern breakwater to the starting point. ‘ (2) The area mentioned in subsection (1) is closed to all but the following ships— (a) ships operated by the department; (b) ships operated by a shipping inspector; (c) ships operated by the police service;
