Part 1 Transport Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transport Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 . Part 2 Amendment of Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Regulation 2005 2 Regulation amended This part amends the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Regulation 2005. 3 Amendment of s 27 (Restricted driver authorisation—Act, s 29A) Section 27(3)(a), from ‘all’, first mention, to ‘and’, first mention— omit . 4 Amendment of s 67 (Maximum age limits for taxis) Section 67(1), ‘date of manufacture’— omit, insert— ‘date of compliance’. 5 Amendment of s 79 (Records to be kept when substitute taxi used instead of a licensed taxi) Section 79(2)(b)— 2011 SL No. 287 Page 3

Transport Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 Part 2 Amendment of Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Regulation 2005 [s 6] omit, insert— ‘(b) a copy of any conditions imposed on the taxi service licence for the licensed taxi;’. 6 Amendment of s 91 (Use of image recordings from approved taxi security camera system) Section 91(2), ‘under subsection (1)’— omit, insert— ‘made by an approved taxi security camera system fitted in a taxi’. 7 Replacement of s 96AH (Manual card reader to be carried in taxi) Section 96AH— omit, insert— ‘96AH Manual card reader and restricted use slips to be carried in taxi ‘(1) The operator of a taxi service must ensure that, while a taxi used to provide the service is available for hire, both of the following are carried in the taxi— (a) a manual card reader; (b) a sufficient number of restricted use slips for the period of time that the taxi is available for hire. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. ‘(2) In this section— restricted use slip means a document that is used in association with a manual card reader to facilitate payments of taxi fares under a taxi subsidy scheme.’. 8 Amendment of s 105A (Special purpose limousines—Act, sch 3, def special purpose limousine ) Section 105A(1)(a)(i), ‘date of manufacture’— Page 4 2011 SL No. 287
