s1 2 s3 Tranport Legislation Amendment (No. 3) No. 195, 2000 PART 1—PRELIMINARY ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 3) 2000 . PART 2—AMENDMENT OF TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT) REGULATION 1995 ˙ Regulation amended in pt 1 2. This part amends the Transport Operations (Road Use Management)Regulation 1995 . ˙ Insertion of new pt 5A 3. After section 57— insert— PART 5A—ALTERNATIVE COMPLIANCE SCHEMES ˙ Mass 58.(1) Sections 14 to 16 1 are prescribed provisions for section 15(1) 2 of the Act. 1 Sections 14 (Compliance with requirements—vehicles), 15 (Compliance with requirements—trailers) and 16 (Compliance with requirements—combinations) 2 Under the Act, section 15, an operator of a vehicle may apply to the chief executive for approval of an alternative compliance scheme for prescribed provisions.

(2) The purpose of section 22 is to ensure that a vehicle to which the section applies— (a) is maintained in good repair; and (b) has no defects that would affect its safe use on the road.’. ˙ Amendment of sch 3 (Fees) 7.
