s1 2 s4 Transport Legislation Amendment No. 317, 1998 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Transport Legislation Amendment Regulation 1998 . ˙ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provisions—the Act, ss 28 and 29 2.(1) In this section— “postponed law” means the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 1997 , sections 28 and 29. 1 (2) The period before automatic commencement, under the ActsInterpretation Act 1954 , section 15DA(2), of the postponed law is extended to the end of 30 November 1999. 2 ˙ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provision—the Act, s 63 3.(1) In this section— “postponed law” means the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 1997 , section 63. 3 (2) The period before automatic commencement, under the ActsInterpretation Act 1954 , section 15DA(2), of the postponed law is extended to the end of 30 April 1999. 4 ˙ Postponed commencement of uncommenced provision—the Act, s 64 4.(1) In this section— 1 Sections 28 (Omission of ss 44F–44I) and 29 (Omission of s 45A (Traffic offences in respect of which offender may elect to pay penalty)) amend the Traffic Act 1949 . 2 The postponed law now automatically commences on 1 December 1999. 3 Section 63 (Replacement of ss 12 and 13) amends the TransportOperations(Passenger Transport) Act 1994 . 4 The postponed law now automatically commences on 1 May 1999.
