Transport Integration (Public Transport Development Authority) (Transition Facilitation) Regulations 2012

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to facilitate the transition to the full conferral of functions and powers on the Public Transport Development Authority by amending references in the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 203B of the Transport Integration Act 2010.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 2 April 2012.

4Delayed commencement of certain provisions

Until the commencement of item 13.6 of Schedule 1 of the Transport Legislation Amendment (Public Transport Development Authority) Act 2011, any reference in sections 85A(a), 86(1) (in the definition of public commercial passenger vehicle), 89(2)(c), 141(5), 195, 196, 198(1), 199, 200, 201, 202, 203, 204, 213A(5) and 213A(6) of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983 to the Director is to be construed as a reference to the Public Transport Development Authority.

1.     General Information

The Transport Integration (Public Transport Development Authority) (Transition Facilitation) Regulations 2012, S.R. No. 21/2012 were made on 27 March 2012 by the Governor in Council under section 203B of the Transport Integration Act 2010, No. 6/2010 and came into operation on 2 April 2012: regulation 3.

The Transport Integration (Public Transport Development Authority) (Transition Facilitation) Regulations 2012 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 27 March 2022 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Transport Integration (Public Transport Development Authority) (Transition Facilitation) Regulations 2012 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
