Transport (Infringements) Amendment Regulations 2014
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010 as a consequence of the commencement of the Transport (Safety Schemes Compliance and Enforcement) Act 2014 to—
(a)revoke the prescription of certain offences against marine safety laws as transport safety infringements; and
(b)revoke the prescription of penalties for safety work infringements.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 215 and 215G of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983.
3Commencement
These Regulations come into operation 19 May 2014.
4Definitions
In regulation 5 of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010[1], the definition of safety work infringement is revoked.
5Safety work infringements
Regulation 9 of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010 is revoked.
6Transport safety infringements
Regulation 9B of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010 is revoked.
7Infringement notices
(1)Regulation 10(1)(c) and (e) of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010 is revoked.
(2)In regulation 10(1)(d) of the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010, for "infringement; or" substitute "infringement—".
8Schedule 5 revoked
Schedule 5 to the Transport (Infringements) Regulations 2010 is revoked.
