An Act to amend the Transport (Division of Functions) Act 1932 as a consequence of the enactment of the Stale Roads Act 1986. [Assented to, 2) May 1986]

Transport (Division o f Functions) Amendment 1986

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the “Transport (Division of Functions)

Amendment Act 1986” .

Amendment of Act No. 31, 1932

2. The Transport (Division of Functions) Act 1932 is amended in the

manner set forth in Schedule 1.

AMENDMENTS TO THE TRANSPORT (DIVISION OF FUNCTIONS)

(1) Section 6 (Commissioner for Main Roads)—

Section 6 (3), (4)—

Omit the subsections.

(2) Section 7 (Appointment of Commissioners)—

Section 7 (2)—

Omit the subsection, insert instead:

(2) Subsection (1) ceases to apply to the Commissioner for

Main Roads on the commencement of the State Roads Act 1986.

(3) Section 7a (Appointment of Deputy Commissioner for Main Roads)—

Omit the section.

(4) Section 7 b (Powers, etc,, of Deputy Commissioner for Main Roads)—

Omit the section.
