AMENDMENT ACT.

An Act to make certain provision relating to the term of office of the Commissioner for

Railways, the Commissioner for Government

Transport, the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner for Main Roads, and the Commissioner for Motor Transport; for this purpose to amend the Transport (Division

of Functions) Act, 1932, the Transport

(Division of Functions) Amendment Act,

1952, and the State Transport (Co-ordina­

tion) Amendment Act, 1954, and certain other Acts; and for purposes connected

therewith. [Assented to, 8th April, 1957.]

1 . This Act may be cited as the "Transport (Division

of Functions) Amendment Act, 1957".

2 . Notwithstanding anything contained in the Trans­ port (Division of Functions) Act, 1932, as amended by subsequent Acts, the Transport (Division of Functions) Amendment Act, 1952, the State Transport (Co-ordina­ tion) Amendment Act, 1954, or any other Act, any person holding office as Commissioner for Railways, Commis­ sioner for Government Transport, Commissioner for Motor Transport, Commissioner for Alain Roads or Assistant Commissioner for Alain Roads, shall be deemed to have vacated his office as such on the day upon which he attains the age of sixty-five years , and no person
