TRANSPORT (COUNTRY TAXI-CAR) AMENDMENT

REGULATIONS 1995

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1.    These regulations may be cited as the Transport (Country Taxi-car)

Amendment Regulations 1995.

Principal regulations

2.     In these regulations the Transport (Country Taxi-Car) Regulations /982*

are referred to as the principal regulations.

(a) by deleting "registered";

Regulation 7 amendeu

3.    Regulation 7 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "or

driver's registration".

Part Ill repealed

4.     Part HI of the principal regulations and the heading thereto is repealed.

Regulation 24 amended

5.    Regulation 24 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"registered".

Regulation 25 amended

6.     Regulation 25 of the principal regulations is amended —

(b) by deleting paragraph (c); and

(c) in paragraph (d), by deleting " "A" Class " and substituting the following -

A Class and T Class

Regulation 27A inserted

7.   After regulation 27 of the principal regulations the following regulation

is inserted

it

Display of driver identification

27A. The driver of a taxi-car shall, in the manner directed by the Director General, display an approved identification card in a prominent position in the taxi he is driving.

Regulation 40 amended

8. Regulation 40 (d) of the principal regulations is amended -
(a) by deleting This certificate of registration,"; and
(b) by deleting" "A" Class" and substituting the following -

A Class and T Class

Regulation 44 amended

9.   Regulation 44 of the principal regulations is amended -

(a)	by repealing subregulation (2);
(b)	in subregulation (3) by deleting -

(i) "or the registration of a taxi-car driver"; and

(ii) "or registration";

and

(c)	in subregulation (5), by deleting "or driver, as the case may be,".
Regulation 45 amended
10.	Regulation 45 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting - (a) "or the registration of a taxi-car driver"; (b) "or who is so registered, as the case may be"; and

(c) "or registration".

Regulation 46 amended

11.  Regulation 46 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting "or

the registration of a taxi-car driver".

Schedule amended

12.   The Schedule to the principal regulations is amended by deleting items

4 and 5.
