Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) (Ticketing) Further Amendment Regulations 2020

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) (Ticketing) Regulations 2017—

(a)to remove obligations on bus drivers with respect to myki ticketing; and

(b)to revoke an offence associated with those bus driver obligations.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 56, 221AA and 230AH of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983.

3Production of ticket that is a digital card for inspection

In regulation 9A of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) (Ticketing) Regulations 2017[1], for "8, 9 and 24," substitute "8 and 9,".

4Regulations 24 and 25 revoked

Regulations 24 and 25 of the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) (Ticketing) Regulations 2017 are revoked.
