Act N o . 140 , 1980 .
An Act to amend the Transport Authorities Act, 1980, to increase the penalty for a contravention of a regulation made under that Act and by way of statute law revision. [Assented to, 9th December, 1980.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—
1. This Act may be cited as the "Transport Authorities
| (Amendment) | Act, | 1 9 8 0 " . |
2 . ( 1 ) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date
of assent to this Act.
( 2 ) Except as provided in subsection ( 1 ) , this Act shall
commence on such day as may be appointed and notified under section 2 ( 2 ) of the Government Railways (Further Amendment)

This Act contains the following Schedules :—
SCHEDULE 1 . — A M E N D M E N T TO SECTION 8 5 OF THE

AUTHORITIES A C T , 1 9 8 0 , BY WAY OF STATUTE LAW REVISION. 4. The Transport Authorities Act, 1 9 8 0 , is amended in the
manner set forth in Schedules 1 and 2 .
SCHEDULE 1.
AMENDMENT TO SECTION 85 OF THE TRANSPORT
AUTHORITIES A C T , 1980.
Section 85 ( 2 ) —
Omit "$100", insert instead "$200".
SCHEDULE 2.
AMENDMENTS TO THE TRANSPORT AUTHORITIES A C T , 1980, BY WAY OF STATUTE LAW REVISION.
(1) Section 31 ( 3 ) — Omit "State Rail Authority", insert instead "Urban Transit
Authority".
(2) (a) Schedule 2, clause 8 ( 1 ) — Omit "section", insert instead "clause".
(b) Schedule 2, clause 8 (2) ( h ) — After "officer;", insert "and".
(c) Schedule 2, clause 8 (2) ( i ) —
Omit the paragraph, insert instead :—
(i) shall be entitled to receive any payment, pension or gratuity,
