Part 1 Transport and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transport and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . 2 Commencement (1) This regulation, other than section 17(2), commences on 1 September 2008. (2) Section 17(2) commences on 1 March 2009. Part 2 Amendment of Electrical Safety Regulation 2002 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Electrical Safety Regulation 2002. 4 Amendment of s 165 (Prescribed electricity entities) Section 165(a) and (b)— omit, insert— ‘(a) it is named in schedule 6, part 1; or (b) both of the following apply— (i) it is named in schedule 6, part 2; (ii) 3 months have elapsed after the entity’s name was included in schedule 6, part 2. ‘(2) Subsection (1)(b)(ii) does not apply to QR Network Pty Ltd ACN 132 181 116.’. 2008 SL No. 282 Page 3

(2) Section 40(1)(b), note, ‘Queensland Rail is a statutory’— omit, insert— ‘ QR Limited is a company ’. (3) Section 40(4)— insert— ‘ officer or employee of QR Limited includes the following— (a) a contractor of QR Limited; (b) an employee of a wholly owned subsidiary of QR Limited; (c) a contractor of a wholly owned subsidiary of QR Limited; (d) an employee of a contractor mentioned in paragraph (a) or (c).
