Transport Amendment (Public Vehicles Reform) Act 2000

An Act to amend the Transport Act 1981

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Transport Amendment (Public Vehicles Reform) Act 2000 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Transport Act 1981 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 6 amended (Functions of the Commission) Section 6(1) of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (c) and substituting the following paragraph: (c) to administer the Passenger Transport Act 1997 , Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 1995 and Traffic Act 1925 ; and 5Section 22 amended (Power of Minister to establish advisory committees) Section 22(1)(a) of the Principal Act is amended by inserting ", the Passenger Transport Act 1997 , the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 1995" after "this Act". 6Section 28A amended (Continuation of Cab and Hire-Car Trust Fund) Section 28A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting " section 14 of the Taxi Industry Act 1995 " and substituting "section 14 of the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 1995".
