I, John Douglas Stott, Chief Executive of the State Transit Authority, in pursuance of the Transport Administration Act 1988, make the following Order on behalf of the State Transit Authority.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to amend the Transport Administration (State Transit

Authority—Fares) Order 1991:

(a)

to increase certain fares for bus and ferry services in the Sydney Suburban, Outer Metropolitan and Newcastle Suburban Areas, and

(b)

to clarify that certain pensioners’ excursion tickets are valid for the State Transit Authority’s special services, and

(c) to change an out-of-date reference to the provider of Sydney light rail services.

1     Name of Order

This Order is the Transport Administration (State Transit

Authority—Fares) Amendment Order 1999.

2 Commencement

This Order commences on 1 August 1999.

3 Amendment of Transport Administration (State Transit

Authority—Fares) Order 1991

The Transport Administration (State Transit Authority—Fares) Order

1991 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

The explanatory note does not form part of this Order.

(Clause 3)

[1]     Clause 4 Charges

Omit “the Sydney Light Rail Company Limited”.
Insert instead “CGEA Transport Sydney Pty Ltd trading as Metro Light
Rail”.

[2]     Clause 9 Certain services excluded from TravelPasses etc

Omit “, and pensioners’ combined rail/bus/ferry excursion tickets,”.

[3]     Clause 9 (2)

Insert at the end of the clause:

(2) Pensioners’ combined rail/bus/ferry excursion tickets are not valid for the State Transit Authority’s premium services, tourist services or JetCat services.

[4]     Clause 10 No concessions for quarterly or yearly tickets

Omit “special (racecourse) services or”.

[5]     Schedule 1 Charges

Omit the Schedule. Insert instead:
