xplanatory The object of this Regulation is to repeal provisions of the Transport Administration (General) Regulation 1995 relating to the transport of dangerous goods by rail as a consequence of those provisions being superseded by the making of the Road and Rail Transport (Dangerous Goods) (Rail) Regulation 1999. This Regulation is made under the Transport Administration Act 1988, including section 99 and section 119 (the general regulation-making power).
