(To repeal a redundant by-law concerning safeworking practices for SRA

employees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Transport Administration Act 1988, has been pleased to make the Regulation set out hereunder.

By–law No. 1358 made by the State Rail Authority under the Government Railways Act 1912 (published in Gazette No. 74 of 28 May 1982 at page 2386), and taken to be a regulation made under section 99 of the Transport Administration Act 1988 by operation of section 3 (3) of, and Schedule 3 to, the Transport Legislation (Repeal and Amendment) Act 1988, is repealed.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

By–law No. 1358 effected the adoption, from 1 July 1982. of safeworking
practices to be followed by State Rail Authority employees. These practices were

set out in a handbook issued by the Authority entitled “Rules and Regulations”.

The object of this regulation is to repeal the by-law as the handbook has been

superseded by new safeworking practice manuals.
