Regulations 1999
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objectives
The objectives of these Regulations are—
(a)
to provide that section 110(2) of the Act does not apply to the financial year commencing on 1 July 1999; and
(b)
to prescribe the amounts of transport accident charges applicable to motor vehicles of specified classes.
2. Authorising provision
These Regulations are made under section 132 of the Transport Accident Act 1986.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 July
1999.
4. Principal Regulations
Transport Accident (Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 1999

In these Regulations the Transport Accident
(Charges) Regulations 19861 are called thePrincipal Regulations.
5. Amendment to regulation 3A
In regulation 3A of the Principal Regulations in the definition of "vehicles regulations" for "1988" substitute "1999".
6. Amendment to regulations 4 and 6
In the Table in regulations 4 and 6 of the Principal
Regulations—
(a) in item 3, for "206" substitute "219(4)"; and
(b) in item 4, for "issued under regulation 502" substitute "assigned under regulation 305"; and (c) in item 5 for "504" substitute "302"; and (d) in item 6, for "506" substitute "309"; and
(e) in item 7 omit "under Part 4 of the Road Safety Act 1986".
7. Section 110(2) of the Act not to apply for 1999/2000 financial year
For regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations
substitute—"8. Section 110(2) of the Act not to apply for
1999/2000 financial year
Section 110(2) of the Act does not apply in
respect of the financial year commencing on1 July 1999.".
8. Schedule 1 substituted
For Schedule 1 of the Principal Regulations substitute—
