s1 2 s4 Transplantation and Anatomy Amendment Regulation No. 283, 2002 (No. 1) 2002 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Transplantation and Anatomy Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2002 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 November 2002. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the TransplantationandAnatomyRegulation 1994. 4 Insertion of new s 4A After section 4— insert— ‘4A Prescribed tissue banks ‘ (1) For section 42A(1) 1 of the Act, the prescribed tissue banks are— (a) Queensland Bone Bank; and (b) Queensland Eye Bank; and (c) Queensland Heart Valve Bank; and (d) Queensland Skin Bank; and (e) for recovering reasonable costs associated with removing, evaluating, processing, storing and distributing expired platelet concentrates for medical research—Australian Red Cross Blood Service. ‘ (2) In this section— “expired platelet concentrates” means concentrates of platelets, derived from blood, that are no longer suitable for clinical use.’. 1 Section 42A (Person who owns a prescribed tissue bank may charge amount to recover certain costs) of the Act
