Australia) Endorsement of Regulations Notice (No. 2) 2023.
2. Proposed regulations endorsed
For the purposes of the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 (Commonwealth) section 45 as adopted under the
Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western Australia)
Act 2007, the proposed regulations set out in Schedule 1 to this notice are endorsed.

Proposed regulations Schedule 1 1 Name
This instrument is the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition
Legislation Amendment (Northern Territory Container Deposit
Scheme) Regulations 2023.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect

amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the
Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this
instrument has effect according to its terms.

1 Clause 11 of Schedule 2
Before “Firearms and other prohibited or offensive weapons”, insert:
Container deposit scheme
The following laws:
(a)
Part 2 of the Environment Protection (Beverage Containers and Plastic Bags) Act 2011;
(b)
all other provisions of that Act, to the extent that they relate to the container deposit scheme established by that Part;
(c)
regulations or other instruments made under that Act, to the extent that they relate to that scheme
