No. 30 of 1940.

AN ACT to terminate the obligations imposed upon the Treasurer of the State by paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section eight of the Tramways Purchase Act, 1912.

[Assented to 4th December, 1940.]

RE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,

by and with the advice and consent of the Legis-

lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western

Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by

the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Trantivays Purchase Short title.

Act Amendment Act, 1940, and shall be read as one with the Tramways Purchase Act, 1912 (No. 31 of 1912), here- inafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. As from and including the first day of January,

which, immediately prior to such date, was payable to, but at the said date had not been paid to, such local authorities.

3. The principal Act as amended by this Act may be

as amended, cited as the Tramways Purchase Act, 1912-1940.
