| 1. I t shall be lawful for the Commissioner for Ilailways under tlie direction of the Government to employ steam motors on the Tramways already constructed or to bo constructed in pursuance of the provisions of tlic “ I'ramu ays Extension Act of 1880.” | of |

| previous to that day hy reason of the working of steam motors shall he maintainahle in any Court on the ground of any alleged illegality in the use of the steam motors hcrcinhcfore referred to Provided nevertheless that nothing in this Act shall affect any cause of action existing hy reason ol' the v\'orking of any such steam motor in respect of which a suit or action was pending prior to the eighteenth day of iMay one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three. |
