Short title.

1. This A c t may he cited as the '“Tram ways (C arriage of Goods) A ct, 1911,” and shall 1)C construed w ith the G overnm eiit

2. The C hief Ccjmmissionei' for Railw ays and Tram ways may, in his discretion and upon notification of his intention so to do in the G azette, use all tram w ays vi'sted in him or under his control for the purpose of carrying goods :

Proviso.

Provided th a t such tram w ays shall not he so used in George- s tree t between the C ircular Q uay and Rawson-place, nor in P itt-s tro e t between the Circular Q uay and 1 lay-street, nor in Cast]ei'cagh-street between the C ircular Q uay and H ay-street, Sydney, except for the carriage of m aterials to he used for repairs to and renewals of the tram ways.

By-laws.

3. The said Commissioner may make by-laws regulating and determ ining the conditions upon wliicli he trill undertake such carriage, and in particular the class of goods which m ay he so carried. Sub ject

4. Separate accounts shall he kept of all goods the pr'opei'ty of Separate accounts to

the Crown ctirried on the tnim w ays, and shall he published w ith the

quju'terly report of the C hief Commissioner.
