Traffic (Miscellaneous) Amendment (Registration Fees) Regulations 2000

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .13 June 2000

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Miscellaneous) Amendment (Registration Fees) Regulations 2000 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 1 July 2000. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Traffic (Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 2 amended (Interpretation)Regulation 2(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definitions of "Internet payment system" and "telephone payment system". 5Schedule 9 amended (Vehicle registration fees)Schedule 9 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting Part 4.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations provide that a vehicle registration fee will no longer be discounted if paid by means of a telephone or the internet.
