Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2009

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .16 November 2009

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations amend the

(a) revising the Schedule of traffic infringement notice offences in line with – (i) recent amendments to the Traffic Act 1925 ; and (ii) the Road Rules 2009 ; and (b) increasing the fines payable for, and the demerit points applicable to, certain traffic infringement notice offences; and (c) prescribing authorities for the purposes of section 59 of the Traffic Act 1925 .
