Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2007

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .25 June 2007

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2007 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 1 July 2007. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2001 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Schedule 2 amended (Traffic infringement notice offences) Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting items 149 , 150 , 151 , 152 and 153 from Part 2 and substituting the following items:

149.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of learner motor cycle licence to drive motor cycle on public street carrying another person unless holder permitted by regulation 8(8) of the DLVR DLVR 8(11) 110 0 L056

150.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of learner motor cycle licence, issued on or after 1 July 2007, to drive motor cycle, other than learner approved motor cycle, on public street DLVR 8(11) 110 0 L058

151.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of learner motor cycle licence, issued before 1 July 2007, to drive motor cycle on public street unless motor cycle is of a kind prescribed or holder has authorisation DLVR 8(11) 110 0 L059

152.  Holder of motor cycle licence (other than learner licence) driving, on public street, motor cycle carrying another person otherwise than as permitted by regulation 10(2) of the DLVR DLVR 10(2) 110 0 L069

153.  Holder of motor cycle licence issued on or after 1 July 2007 (other than learner licence) driving motor cycle on public street otherwise than as permitted by regulation 10(3) of the DLVR DLVR 10(3) 110 0 L063

153A.  Holder of motor cycle licence issued before 1 July 2007 (other than learner licence) driving motor cycle on public street unless authorised or otherwise permitted by regulation 10(4) of the DLVR DLVR 10(4) 110 0 L064

153B.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of motor cycle licence (other than learner licence) to drive, on public street, motor cycle carrying another person unless holder permitted by regulation 10(2) of the DLVR DLVR 10(5) 110 0 L070

153C.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of motor cycle licence issued on or after 1 July 2007 (other than learner licence) to drive motor cycle on public street unless holder permitted by regulation 10(3) of the DLVR DLVR 10(5) 110 0 L067

153D.  Employing, causing or permitting holder of motor cycle licence issued before 1 July 2007 (other than learner licence) to drive motor cycle on public street unless holder authorised or otherwise permitted by regulation 10(4) of the DLVR DLVR 10(5) 110 0 L068

(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations amend the

(a) prescribing further offences as offences for which infringement notices may be served under the Traffic Act 1925 ; and (b) prescribing penalties for those offences.
