Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2003

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .24 February 2003

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2003 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2001 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Schedule 2 amended (Traffic infringement notice offences) Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting item 25 and substituting the following:

25.  Driver fail to produce for inspection a document required to be carried by driver or to be carried in/on vehicle (other than an Australian driver licence, foreign driver licence or ancillary certificate) VT 47(1) 150 0 D327

(b) by omitting items 27 and 28 and substituting the following:

27.  Fail to produce document for inspection within 7 days VT 47(4) 150 0 D329

(c) by omitting items 154 and 155 and substituting the following:

154.	Fail to carry and produce Australian driver licence (other than a restricted driver licence) while driving, or in charge of, a motor vehicle on a public street or instructing a person learning to drive a motor vehicle on a public street	VT 46A(1)	50	0	L079
155.	Fail to carry and produce foreign driver licence (and English translation where required) or international driving permit while driving, or in charge of, a motor vehicle on a public street	VT 46A(2)	50	0	L080

(d) by omitting item 163 and substituting the following:

163.  Fail to carry and produce restricted driver licence while driving, or in charge of, a motor vehicle on a public street VT 46A(1) 150 0 L038

(e) by omitting item 167 and substituting the following:

167.  Fail to carry and produce ancillary certificate while driving, or in charge of, a motor vehicle or engaging in other activity for which that certificate is required VT 46A(3) 150 0 L081
